Comile and run FDMod3D

Dear Dr. Kristek
During my plan to learn FDSim3D package I am working on your sample (CAN4). Now I have compiled the FDMod3D with gfortran and Open MPI 1.6.5 and with this three lines in Makefile:

FC = mpif90
FFLAGS = -cpp -Ofast -DUSE_MPI -DMPI2
LDFLAGS = -Ofast

After compilation I run FDMod3D in Terminal window 21 hours ago. Program started and continues until now without errors or bugs. The only output file is CAN4.INM and the last line in Terminal window is:
Parameterize medium using avaraging of physical parameters

Is it usual to take this long or I have a problem?
I use a laptop with core i7 2.2GHz CPU and 8 GB Ram.

Finally the modelling finished after 239510 seconds.
